School Swimming team enters Dove Valley Schools swimming Gala
On April 19th 2008, for the first time, children from Years 2,3 and 4 participated in the annual Dove Valley Schools Swimming Gala.
It was an energetic and enjoyable occasion attended by many supporting children and parents. The school team accredited themselves against much larger teams from other local schools.
The children all enthusiastically cheered on their team members and helped to almost raise the roof of the leisure centre with the noise.
A huge well done to all the children who represented the school so superbly and a big thank you to all the parents who provided their time and support for what was a brilliant evening. Hopefully this was the first of what promises to be a spectacular annual event.

SAFTA winners 2006 |

This is the second year that Staffordshire County Council has held the SAFTAS Award Ceremony. (Just like the BAFTAS but obviously better and more important!)
The SAFTAS is a digital movie competition for all Staffordshire schools.
During the year all children at Richard Clarke use digital cameras as part of their class work. The movies the children made last year were copied on to disk and entered in to the SAFTA competition. |

All the children at Richard Clarke First School use ICT in every area of the curriculum. In November 2005 the children from Year 3 and 4 entered two films they had made as part of the class work in to the Staffordshire Authority SAFTA Awards (School Awards in Film in Teaching Across Staffordshire). |
